Smart Automation and Energy Management for Marinas

Introduction Energy Management in Marinas

Energy management is becoming an increasingly important theme for marinas. Energy costs continue to rise due to increasing electricity prices and changing regulations. In addition, we see an increase in the use of electric boats, partly because in some locations only electric boats are allowed. All of this creates a major challenge for marinas in the field of energy management.

At RecraPlan, we like to think along about smart solutions for these challenges. We offer a special package that allows the marina manager to regulate energy consumption. In many cases, the energy costs are included in the overnight price, but by calculating the consumption separately, energy consumption can be reduced by up to 20%. By having guests pay separately for their energy consumption, they become increasingly aware of their power usage, contributing to a more sustainable management of the marina.

Smart Automation Solutions for Marinas

Smart Automation Solutions for Marinas

Many marinas already have the option to automatically book and pay. At RecraPlan, we go a step further by offering the option to manage and switch electricity meters. This can be done by linking to an existing booking system, or by using a specially developed RecraPlan module for managing and paying for electricity consumption. This makes marinas smarter and more efficient. What does this mean in practice? When a guest docks at the marina, they can make a reservation via an online environment. This reservation is immediately linked to RecraPlan, which then ensures that the power supply is turned on. There are several options to regulate power consumption: pay based on usage, a pre-set deposit where the power is turned off if consumption exceeds this amount, and the ability to increase the deposit. Guests are of course warned in advance before the power is turned off. In addition, we can regulate the maximum power consumption per hour, which helps to better manage simultaneous demand. With these advanced solutions, RecraPlan makes the automation of marinas simple, efficient, and customer-focused.
